About the position

The Technical Sales Manager (TSM) at Samson Rope Technologies is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth by managing technical sales projects and acting as the primary field representative to end users, distributors, and industry associations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, adherence to safety and quality guidelines, and the ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Present, sell, and attain maximum net income from company products and services to current and potential customers.
  • Manage distribution channels and independent manufacturer's representatives for maximum benefit.
  • Ensure proper representation and recognition of the Samson brand to end-users.
  • Provide strategic direction for internal development projects.
  • Provide technical and sales support to other sales staff in a team environment.
  • Act as company representative to technical and industry associations and certifying bodies.
  • Responsible for all field sales activities in an assigned geographic territory.
  • Develop and achieve short- and long-term sales goals for the Company's products.
  • Make necessary field trips, contact customers, and attend conventions and exhibitions to promote sales.
  • Work collaboratively with other field sales managers to achieve maximum results.

Requirements

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Excellent customer service skills to colleagues and customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills and comfort with quantitative data.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and implementation of solutions.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
