About the position
The Technical Sales Manager at Corteco is responsible for driving new sales growth and managing existing customer accounts within the automotive aftermarket. This role involves identifying business opportunities, maintaining customer satisfaction, and collaborating with marketing teams to support customer initiatives. The position requires a proactive approach to account management and a strong understanding of the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Drive new sales growth by identifying and developing opportunities with current and potential customers.
- Maintain and expand existing business by servicing the current customer base and ensuring satisfaction.
- Communicate customer needs, risks, and opportunities while managing circumstances affecting customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with product marketing to create customer initiatives, promotions, and support for industry seminars, training, and trade shows.
- Develop demand forecasts and execute account plans to meet sales goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in business development or account management required.
- Previous experience in the automotive aftermarket, OE, Tier 1, or Tier 2 industries preferred.
- Technical knowledge of engine, automatic transmission, and/or electronic power steering systems preferred.
- Strong relationship-building skills, project management, change management, and a proactive attitude.
