About the position

The Technical Sales - Regional Account Manager role at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions focuses on managing and supporting relationships with existing industrial customers while seeking to expand the customer base. The position emphasizes growth through developing opportunities that enhance the operations of water assets and involves a comprehensive sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify needs and create partnerships with existing and new customers.
  • Manage and drive the entire sales process including lead generation, qualifying opportunities, forecasting, generating proposals, and closing deals.
  • Support the VEOLIA WTS Regional Services team with contract execution, financial reconciliation, and customer relationship enhancement.
  • Accurately define opportunities including client benefits, customer assets, scope, key deliverables, and timing.
  • Lead negotiations with support from regional services team, legal, finance, and HR.
  • Foster partnerships with other VEOLIA WTS commercial teams to maximize synergy and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of all Suez WTS products and service offerings.
  • Create and manage a strategic growth plan detailing sales strategies and market focus.
  • Forecast and actively track sales and report historic success against plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical or related program experience.
  • At least 5 years of successful client services, relationship management, and/or sales experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and information verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in operations, maintenance, piloting, service, and/or design in the Water and Wastewater treatment industry.
  • Strong listening skills and a creative, collaborative, self-directed approach.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Salesforce, CIT, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Strategic Selling principles (Miller Heiman) or similar sales strategies.
