About the position

Evolv Technology is seeking a driven and energetic Technical Sales & Solutions Engineer to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is pivotal in developing, piloting, and launching our innovative products across various vertical markets, including schools, hospitals, stadiums, amusement parks, and casinos. The Technical Sales and Solutions (TS&S) team serves as a crucial interface between our customers and the sales team, ensuring that both parties have a clear understanding of our products and their applications. In this role, you will become an expert in all aspects of our current and emerging products. You will lead actions from pre-sale to deployment, support launch activities, provide expertise in product applications, define customer solutions, and gather valuable feedback. Collaboration with the Evolv team is essential as you will support pilots, trials, trade shows, and installations, collecting data and providing critical insights to our engineering and product management teams. Your success will be measured by your ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams, lead technical sales processes, and effectively communicate complex technical details. You will also be responsible for training customers' security staff and leading proof of concepts, demos, and pilots across various verticals. By the end of your first year, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the regional sales pipeline and will have led multiple complex deployments at strategic customer locations.

Responsibilities

  • Support and help close top tier opportunities in the Central Sales Region.
  • Lead the technical sales process for Evolv systems, guiding potential customers through technical aspects.
  • Communicate and clarify complex technical details, including system capabilities and integration requirements.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Train customers' security staff on operating Evolv products.
  • Lead proof of concepts, demos, and pilots for opportunities in various verticals.
  • Conduct site surveys and develop concept of operations plans for system deals.
  • Ensure regional teams meet quarterly sales quotas and manage assigned opportunities in SFDC.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical details to customers.
  • Experience in sales support and solution development, particularly in technical environments.
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with teammates and customers.
  • Project management skills to coordinate logistics and timelines for deployments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in operational security within performing arts centers, casinos, or tourist attractions.
  • Familiarity with K-12 schools, healthcare, and sports customer landscapes.
