About the position

The Technical Sales & Strategic Account Manager at CoolSys is responsible for identifying and developing service and installation opportunities in HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, and Energy Solutions. This role focuses on building strong relationships with clients and general contractors to drive profitable business growth while ensuring client satisfaction. The position requires a strategic approach to sales, including pipeline forecasting and market research, to meet revenue and profit targets.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying potential new clients and developing sales while working closely with the V.P. of Sales.
  • Developing a pipeline forecast and sales growth plan with monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics in collaboration with the V.P. of Sales.
  • Researching service territory to identify potential opportunities and under-served markets.
  • Developing new relationships within industry niches by participating in professional and networking organizations.
  • Directly communicating with current and potential clients to understand their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborating with Service Manager, Field Supervisors, Estimating, Procurement, and OEMs to make equipment recommendations.
  • Facilitating communication and formal proposals for presentation to clients.
  • Supporting the Accounts Receivable department in collecting due payments as needed.
  • Continuously learning and developing expertise in response to product evolution and new technologies.
  • Complying with all required sales processes and keeping CRM software current.
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the Plumbing, HVAC, and Refrigeration industry is required.
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Industrial Plumbing, HVAC, and Refrigeration is required.
  • Prior success selling Design-Build install projects is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience, including success in selling install/service projects.
  • Ability to generate leads, develop sales strategies, and close new business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and balance competing priorities.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules effectively.
  • Ability to interface across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret statistical data and develop forecasts.
  • Prior success selling service and maintenance agreements is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software is preferred.
