The Technical Sales Support - Crusher Wears role at Metso involves providing technical and commercial support to customers in the heavy industry sector, specifically focusing on mineral processing equipment. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product support managers and Tier 2 support to enhance Crusher Wears and consumable products.
  • Conduct field measurements, develop work scopes, recommend parts, select materials, and apply products effectively.
  • Meet with customers to discuss and review optimization plans, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Create detailed reports and evaluations from wear readings, visualized in CAD drawings.
  • Work with the product line on proposal drawings for liner optimization in CAD.
  • Support studies with local service hubs to reduce maintenance costs and recommend modifications or replacements to increase reliability.
  • Follow up on installations and gather information for product improvements and optimization.
  • Promote benchmarking processes within Metso at various site locations.
  • Maintain detailed market intelligence in cooperation with the Sales Area organization.
  • Support the Local Proposal department on complex solutions.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in heavy industry, primarily with mineral processing equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of crushing/screening processes and applications.
  • Skilled in using CAD for creating detailed drawings and visualizations.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to solve problems and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused and service-oriented environment.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, or Mineral Process Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Comprehensive organizational skills and project management experience, with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and on short notice.
