About the position

The Technical Sales Support position is a vital role within Advanced Chemical Transport (ACT), focusing on supporting operations related to corporate on-site environmental services. This remote position requires effective oral and written communication skills to interact with client representatives and internal teams. The role involves a variety of tasks including data entry, reviewing and entering work orders, generating and recording shipping documents, conducting internet research, desktop publishing, scheduling, and preparing annual reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales orders, assisting sales staff, and acting as a primary contact for accounts generating less than $5K annually. This includes responding to emails, handling incoming calls, and providing pricing for small waste pickups. In addition to these responsibilities, the Technical Sales Support role requires the creation and updating of customer-specific monthly and quarterly waste reports, as well as the preparation and management of waste profiles using EnviroWare software. The position also involves advising sales teams on order statuses, preparing and presenting ARM reports on select accounts, and assisting the operations department with various tasks such as preparing marketing packets and creating binders. The role is designed to establish a collaborative relationship with assigned Account Managers (AMs) to free them from administrative tasks, allowing them to focus on new business sales while ensuring quality communication and service to current accounts. The Technical Sales Support will manage incoming sales inquiries, communicate with Account Managers, Operations, and clients regarding order statuses, service requirements, and any pertinent issues. Follow-up on customer issues and deliverables is also a key aspect of the role, along with reviewing customer invoices and preparing quotations for new waste services at existing client accounts. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction within the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and prepare sales orders given by sales representatives or clients.
  • Assist and provide support to sales staff.
  • Act as contact for accounts under $5K per year, replying to emails, responding to calls, and scheduling with the operations department.
  • Take incoming calls and provide pricing for small waste pickups.
  • Create and update customer-specific monthly and quarterly waste reports.
  • Prepare and manage waste profiles within EnviroWare software.
  • Advise sales of order status when required.
  • Prepare and present ARM on select accounts.
  • Handle miscellaneous tasks such as prepping marketing packets and creating binders.
  • Assist the operations department with preparation of packets.
  • Manage special projects on demand given by supervisor.
  • Establish a teaming relationship with each assigned AM and their accounts to free AMs from appropriate administrative tasks.
  • Provide quality communication and service to current accounts.
  • Act as primary service contact for accounts on the roster of AMs being supported.
  • Manage incoming sales inquiries.
  • Communicate with Account Managers, Operations, and clients regarding order status, service requirements, and any pertinent issues.
  • Follow up on customer issues and deliverables post-pickup.
  • Review customer invoices, ensuring invoicing within 72 hours, sometimes with special projects only.
  • Align sales forecasting with sales including discrepancy analysis.
  • Prepare quotations for new wastes at existing clients.

Requirements
