About the position

The Technical Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for selling boiler and cooling tower water treatment chemicals within a designated territory in Maryland and Washington DC. This role offers unlimited commission potential and requires maintaining existing customer relationships while also developing new business through cold calls. The position is home-based, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work alongside experienced sales professionals in a stable and respected company.

Responsibilities

  • Sell boiler and cooling tower water treatment chemicals to industrial customers.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new business through cold calls.
  • Work from home in Maryland, Washington DC, or surrounding areas.
  • Collaborate with veteran salespeople for support and training.
  • Achieve sales targets and maximize commission potential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of one year of technical sales experience related to water treatment chemicals.
  • Preferred experience selling to industrial customers.
  • Knowledge of the Baltimore, Maryland & Washington DC industrial marketplace.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degrees in relevant fields are preferred.
  • Military equivalent experience such as Navy Nuclear Propulsion or Army CBRN School.
