About the position

The Technical Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for selling boiler and cooling tower water treatment chemicals within a designated territory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities through cold calling. The position offers unlimited commission potential and requires a technical background in engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Sell boiler and cooling tower water treatment chemicals to industrial customers in Western Pennsylvania.
  • Maintain existing customer base and develop new business through cold calls.
  • Work from home in Pittsburgh or surrounding areas.
  • Collaborate with veteran salespeople and receive ongoing training and technical support.
  • Achieve sales targets and maximize commission potential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical sales experience related to water treatment chemicals.
  • Preferred experience selling to industrial customers.
  • Knowledge of the Pittsburgh area industrial marketplace.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced technical degrees preferred.
  • Military equivalent experience such as Navy Nuclear Propulsion or Army CBRN School.
