About the position

Our Graduate Training Program is designed to develop future leaders in the field of technical sales, specifically within the Commercial HVAC sector. This 5-month program is recognized as one of the most comprehensive training experiences in the industry, providing participants with intensive training in technical skills, business acumen, sales engineering, and leadership. The program begins with onboarding at a designated office location before transitioning into the training phase, which is set to start in January or July. As a participant in this program, you will have the opportunity to become a technical expert for our valued commercial customers. Your role will involve building and maintaining relationships with these customers, addressing their challenges, and selling Trane Technologies' climate solutions products. This position is not just about sales; it’s about contributing to a more sustainable world by providing efficient and effective climate solutions. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Training Program, you will transition into the role of Associate Account Manager, specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls. In this capacity, you will sell a comprehensive line of HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers to design, apply, and sell systems, controls, parts, and services tailored to our customers' needs. This role is pivotal in enhancing building efficiency and sustainability, aligning with our mission to prioritize the planet in all our business endeavors.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the Trane Technologies Graduate Training Program (GTP) successfully.
  • Assume the responsibilities of an Associate Account Manager specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls.
  • Sell HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design and application of systems, controls, parts, and services.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with commercial customers by addressing their challenges and providing solutions.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or Engineering (preferred).
  • Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof of insurance.
  • Have no major or frequent traffic violations in the past 3 years.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and building management controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
