About the position

Our Graduate Training Program (GTP) is designed for recent graduates who are eager to embark on a career in Technical Sales. This comprehensive 5-month program provides participants with intensive training in technical skills, business acumen, sales engineering, and leadership. The program is recognized as the industry's most comprehensive training initiative, having been established in 1926. Participants will begin their journey at a predetermined office location before the training commences, which is scheduled to start in either January or July. As a participant in the GTP, you will become a technical expert for our valued commercial customers, helping them solve challenges and sell Trane Technologies' climate solutions products. This role is pivotal in achieving a more sustainable world, as you will be part of a team that focuses on building efficiency and sustainability through our Equipment, Service, or Controls/Building Automation offerings. After successfully completing the program, you will transition into the role of Associate Account Manager, specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls, where you will work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers to design, apply, and sell our HVAC systems and services. Responsibilities

  • Sell the world's most complete line of efficient heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Work with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for customers' buildings.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or Engineering (preferred).
  • Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof of insurance with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and building management controls.
