About the position

Our Graduate Training Program (GTP) is designed to develop future leaders in the field of Technical Sales. This 5-month program is recognized as the industry's most comprehensive training initiative, providing participants with intensive training in technical skills, business acumen, sales engineering, and leadership. The program begins with onboarding at a predetermined office location, followed by training sessions that start in either January or July. As a participant in the GTP, you will become a technical expert for our valued commercial customers, helping them solve challenges and sell Trane Technologies' climate solutions products. This role is crucial in achieving our mission of creating a more sustainable world. You will join our industry-leading Commercial HVAC sales team, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on building efficiency and sustainability through our Equipment, Service, or Controls/Building Automation offerings. Upon successful completion of the GTP, you will transition into the role of Associate Account Manager, specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls. In this capacity, you will sell a comprehensive line of efficient HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers to design, apply, and sell systems, controls, parts, and services tailored to our customers' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the Graduate Training Program (GTP) successfully.
  • Assume the responsibilities of an Associate Account Manager specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls.
  • Sell HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design and application of systems and services.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with commercial customers by addressing their challenges.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering (open to all engineering areas of emphasis).
  • Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof of insurance.
  • Have no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and building management controls.
