About the position

Our Graduate Training Program is designed to develop future leaders in the field of technical sales. This 5-month program is recognized as the industry's most comprehensive training initiative, providing participants with intensive training in technical skills, business acumen, sales engineering, and leadership. As a participant, you will begin your journey with onboarding at a designated office location before the training commences in January or July. The ideal candidates for this program are those who are eager to become technical experts for our commercial customers, helping them solve challenges and sell Trane Technologies' climate solutions products. This role is not just about sales; it’s about building and maintaining relationships with customers and contributing to a more sustainable world. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in building efficiency and sustainability through our Equipment, Service, or Controls/Building Automation offerings. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Training Program, you will transition into the role of Associate Account Manager, where you will be responsible for selling a comprehensive line of HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers to design, apply, and sell systems, controls, parts, and services tailored to our customers' needs. Responsibilities

  • Sell the complete line of efficient HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial customers by addressing their challenges and providing solutions.
  • Participate in the Graduate Training Program to gain technical, business, sales engineering, and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering (open to all engineering areas of emphasis).
  • Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof of insurance with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and building management controls.
