About the position

Our Technical Sales Training Program is designed for recent graduates who are eager to embark on a career in technical sales within the HVAC industry. This 5-month program is recognized as one of the most comprehensive training programs in the industry, providing participants with intensive training in technical skills, business acumen, sales engineering, and leadership development. Participants will begin their journey with onboarding at a designated office location before the training commences in January or July. As part of the program, you will become a technical expert for our valued commercial customers, helping them solve challenges and sell Trane Technologies' climate solutions products. This role is pivotal in achieving a more sustainable world, as you will be working closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners to design and implement efficient HVAC systems and controls. After successfully completing the training, you will transition into the role of Associate Account Manager, specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls, where you will continue to build relationships and drive sales in a predetermined office location. Responsibilities

  • Sell efficient heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for customer buildings.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with commercial customers by addressing their challenges and providing solutions.
  • Participate in the Trane Technologies Graduate Training Program (GTP) to gain technical, business, sales engineering, and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering (open to all engineering areas of emphasis).
  • Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof of insurance with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and building management controls.
