About the position

At Trane Technologies, we are committed to creating innovative climate solutions that challenge the status quo and promote sustainability. Our Graduate Training Program is designed to develop future leaders in the field of technical sales, specifically within the HVAC industry. This 5-month program is recognized as the most comprehensive training initiative in the industry, providing participants with intensive training in technical skills, business acumen, sales engineering, and leadership. As a participant, you will begin your journey at a predetermined office location, where you will undergo onboarding before the training commences in either January or July. The ideal candidates for this program are those who are eager to become technical experts for our valued commercial customers. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with these customers, addressing their challenges, and selling Trane Technologies' climate solutions products. This role is not just about sales; it’s about contributing to a sustainable future by helping our customers achieve their goals in energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Training Program, you will transition into the role of Associate Account Manager, specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls. In this capacity, you will sell a comprehensive line of HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers to design, apply, and sell systems, controls, parts, and services tailored to our customers' needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on building efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the Trane Technologies Graduate Training Program (GTP) successfully.
  • Assume the responsibilities of an Associate Account Manager specializing in Systems, Services, or Controls.
  • Sell HVAC equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design and application of systems and services.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with commercial customers by addressing their challenges and providing solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (open to all engineering areas of emphasis).
  • U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with proof of insurance and no major traffic violations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and building management controls.
