About the position

Working at Macro Solutions, a leading provider of IT and management consulting services, is an opportunity to collaborate with great people who have a passion for the services they provide to our clients. We are currently looking for a Technical Scrum Master candidate for a position on one of our Federal projects in Washington, DC. The Federal agency requires US Citizenship. We seek an experienced Technical Scrum Master to lead the development and implementation of our project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum, and a proven track record of successful project delivery. The IT Scrum Master will be responsible for coordinating and leading the activities of the development team, ensuring that project goals are met, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. As a Technical Scrum Master, you will lead the development and implementation of the project using Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum. You will work with stakeholders to define and prioritize project goals and deliverables. Your role will involve coordinating and leading the activities of the development team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews. You will identify and manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies. Facilitating communication between stakeholders, including the development team, project managers, business users, and senior management, will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will ensure that the team is following Agile development best practices and principles, coach and mentor team members in Agile development methodologies, and maintain project documentation to ensure that project artifacts are up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the project using Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize project goals and deliverables.
• Coordinate and lead the activities of the development team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including the development team, project managers, business users, and senior management.
• Ensure that the team is following Agile development best practices and principles.
• Coach and mentor team members in Agile development methodologies.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure that project artifacts are up-to-date.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
• Must be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Development background (e.g. Java) and hands-on experience with tools like Angular and Microservices.
• Experience with Financial system implementations.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum, and the ability to apply Agile principles to project management.
• Experience leading software development projects in a complex and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a development team.
