About the position

The Technical Scrum Master will play a crucial role in guiding the Agile processes within the Client's Core IT group, focusing on patient-facing applications. This position requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and involves collaboration with product, development, and QA teams to enhance product delivery and team performance. The Scrum Master will facilitate discussions, remove impediments, and coach teams towards higher maturity in Agile practices, all while fostering a safe and trusting environment for problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Support Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Facilitate discussions and alternative approaches within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile SAFe/Scrum concepts and principles.
  • Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and coach towards higher levels of maturity.
  • Remove impediments for the team to enhance productivity.
  • Analyze backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definitions to drive change.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment for problem-solving.
  • Support and educate the Product Owner regarding product backlog grooming and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with teams and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience leading technical and non-technical teams in an Agile environment.
  • Understanding of Angular and Java languages and experience in Cloud platform implementation.
  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team applying Scrum principles.
  • Strong skills in leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, and continual improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Kanban methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile SAFe techniques such as User Stories, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing.
