About the position

The Technical Service Engineer Staff position at Lockheed Martin involves supporting logistics and software development for Special Operations groups. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the Supply Support Activity Warehouse Property Accountability Management system. The engineer will work within a Scrum team, focusing on quality assurance, process improvements, and program management support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Technical Analyst on a six-person Scrum team.
  • Collaborate with product manager, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Reproduce and troubleshoot issues, identify code inefficiencies, and perform necessary re-testing.
  • Thoroughly test application code in a Quality Assurance environment before production release.
  • Work closely with onsite customers to understand business needs and cultivate process improvements.
  • Assist in identifying and creating product backlog items, bugs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance QA efficiency and business processes.
  • Participate in Agile meetings/events, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Provide program management support for review, analysis, control, and presentation services.
  • Represent the organization during software system development for core business processes.
  • Standardize data naming conventions and maintain an enterprise supporting data dictionary.
  • Coordinate with enterprise representatives to establish data sharing relationships.
  • Review and analyze customer requirements with government lead multi-functional teams.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement during logistics automation initiatives.
  • Attend IPRs, IPTs, Working Groups, and project meetings.
  • Conduct technical analyses and evaluations continuously.
  • Identify deficiencies and inefficiencies, providing recommendations in briefings and reports.
  • Assist with user training, update/create User Guides, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Extensive Logistics Management experience with exposure to multiple Logistics Information Automation Systems.
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TFS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with project management skills and ability to balance multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • SECRET clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Automation program management experience with exposure to ERP solutions.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Supplement (DFAR).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Previous experience working in a SSA and Stock Record Account.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR).
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Business Systems Convergence (EBS-C).
  • User Experience/User Design experience is a plus.
  • Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Self-motivated and confident in making independent decisions.
