About the position

The Technical Service Engineer Associate Manager position at Lockheed Martin involves providing worldwide technical and operational support for customers in the installation, testing, training, and maintenance of professional quality printing and bindery equipment, graphics workstations, and computer data networking. This role is critical in ensuring that print production operations run smoothly and efficiently, providing expert advice on print, bindery, and graphics-related issues. The successful candidate will manage a team, overseeing day-to-day activities and assignments, while also administering staffing actions and discipline as necessary. In this position, the Associate Manager will be responsible for all aspects of support for mobile and fixed-site print systems. This includes assisting in the daily operations of print production, reviewing current systems to recommend improvements for operation, longevity, efficiency, and safety. The role also requires initiating, tracking, and recording all requisitions, repair parts, materials, and equipment status, as well as arranging transportation for the shipment of parts and equipment in compliance with export control laws. Additionally, the Associate Manager will participate in planning for hardware and software upgrades, providing technical assistance and support for testing, building, and installing new equipment. The preparation of training content and administration of training courses will also be part of the responsibilities, ensuring that team members are well-equipped to handle their tasks effectively. This position requires the ability to travel internationally and the successful candidate must complete customer-required International Readiness Certifications.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Prior technical training and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Project

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in printer repair
  • Experience with Kodak Nexpress, HP/EPSON Large Format Printers, SEM disintegrator, Bourg Booklet maker, Horizon Prefect binder, Polar cutters, stitchers, and other print and bindery equipment
  • Prior leadership experience
