About the position

The Technical Service Manager will oversee the installation, maintenance, and technical support for pad printing, screen printing, and digital printing equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of printing machinery for clients, requiring strong mechanical and technical skills, as well as experience in injection molding machine maintenance. The manager will lead a team of technicians, provide exceptional customer support, and troubleshoot complex machinery issues.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation, setup, and configuration of pad printing, screen printing, and digital printing equipment at client sites.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing machinery to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and technical protocols for all printing equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, troubleshooting equipment issues remotely and on-site as needed.
  • Manage a team of technicians, including training, task assignments, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist clients with production optimization, including printing quality, color accuracy, and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs, and customer interactions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide technical insight during pre-sales discussions and customer consultations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices across all technical service operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical support and escalations related to pad printing, screen printing, and digital printing equipment.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of pad printing, screen printing, and digital printing processes, equipment, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical components and machinery, with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Background in injection molding machine maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of injection molding equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical clients.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a technical team, with the ability to coordinate tasks and optimize team performance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, follow maintenance schedules, and ensure quality standards.
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints related to printing equipment and injection molding machinery.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software, CRM systems, and office software such as Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree or technical certification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a technical service or maintenance role within the printing industry or a related manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices related to printing equipment and manufacturing.
