About the position

The Imaging Technical Services Coordinator at Texas Health Resources is responsible for supporting and coordinating the maintenance and service of diagnostic imaging equipment, including Mammography and Bone Density systems. This full-time position involves both in-house service engineering and collaboration with external vendors to ensure optimal equipment performance and compliance with regulatory standards. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with clinical staff and maintaining accurate equipment inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Order parts and services according to workflows.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) with technicians and end-users.
  • Assist with loaner and/or exchanges for imaging equipment.
  • Inform the manager of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, and any customer concerns.
  • Work with and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, including inventory and service history.
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and regulatory compliance policies.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships, discussing equipment status with clinicians.
  • Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status and verify completion of security analysis for new equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Information Technology Management, or related field required.
  • 5 years servicing diagnostic imaging systems in a hospital setting required.
  • In-depth understanding of parts order/return process and reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices preferred.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, preferred.
  • Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Completion of Networking + Foundation Course required.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) preferred.
  • Completed OEM technical training in diagnostic imaging preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DICOM and PACS systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in medical equipment management.
