About the position

The Technical Services Project Manager at Geotab is responsible for managing key cross-functional technical projects that impact various business areas within the organization. This role ensures that projects are executed successfully, delivering quality results within specified time and cost constraints, while achieving the defined benefits outlined in the business case.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key cross-functional technical projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and senior management regarding project execution.
  • Support all aspects of project implementation from concept to closure.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members to meet goals and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the definition of project scope and objectives.
  • Assist in defining resources required for project support.
  • Define high-level work plans, key tasks, and deliverables, managing resource integration across projects.
  • Manage issues, risks, and changes, including resolution and mitigation plans.
  • Communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and Technical Services.
  • Provide status reporting on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Maintain an up-to-date project document repository.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Project Management.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with business stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Experience in a technical or engineering organization, with knowledge of the high-technology industry.
  • Experience in compliance, privacy, or security risk management, including vendor risk.
  • JIRA experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, XP, Kanban, etc.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive projects to completion while balancing process and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to lead across multiple organizations.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to change and competing demands.
  • Experience leading and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including Google Suite for business.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) is highly valued.
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scrum Certification (CSM/PSM), or equivalent is highly valued.
  • Technical Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, Cloud Certifications or equivalent are highly valued.
