About the position

As a Technical Software Asset Manager (SAM) at Equifax, you will be responsible for managing the Software Asset Management life cycle using ServiceNow. This includes configuring and maintaining the ServiceNow Platform to support software requests, license pooling, deployment, and retirement. The role is crucial in IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Service Management (ITSM), and Security Operations (SecOps), focusing on monitoring software assets and usage to aid decision-making and mitigate business risks.

Responsibilities

• Configure ServiceNow Software Asset Workspace for publishers used at Equifax
• Configure ServiceNow Discovery Patterns for accurate software inventory collection
• Configure ServiceNow Direct Integrations for SaaS Vendors
• Maintain Software Normalization suggestions and part library
• Maintain Software Asset Management Plug-ins for the ServiceNow Platform
• Administer Infrastructure for IBM ILMT and Bigfix
• Monitor, track, and support software analytics for spend, savings, and licensing
• Build and manage complex licensing models and optimize license usage
• Document software license details including type, version, and procurement data
• Interface with software vendors for account establishment and software activation troubleshooting

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required (preferred in Business or Finance)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Software Asset Management, including ServiceNow SAM
• Experience with IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools using ServiceNow
• Ability to interpret licensing terms and conditions
• Experience supporting large vendor accounts, preferably with Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, and VMware

Nice-to-haves

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management certification
• Additional certifications such as SAM, IAITAM, ITIL, ITAM, CSAM, ISO, CITAM, CHAMP, CAMP
• Audit experience
• Proven researching ability
• Consultative nature with strong written and verbal skills
• Familiarity with Google applications (Doc, Sheets, Slides)
