About the position

As a Technical Software Asset Manager (SAM) at Equifax, you will oversee the Software Asset Management life cycle using ServiceNow. This role involves configuring and maintaining the ServiceNow Platform to support various software asset processes, including requests, license management, deployment, and retirement. The SAM is crucial in monitoring software assets and usage, contributing to decision-making and risk reduction for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Configure ServiceNow Software Asset Workspace for publishers used at Equifax
  • Configure ServiceNow Discovery Patterns to ensure accurate software inventory collection
  • Configure ServiceNow Direct Integrations for SaaS Vendors to user authorizations, inventory collection, and utilization
  • Maintain Software Normalization suggestions and part library
  • Maintain Software Asset Management Plug-in's for the ServiceNow Platform
  • Administer Infrastructure for IBM ILMT and Bigfix
  • Monitor, track, and support all software analytics for spend, savings, true-up cost, over licensed amount, and total number of products
  • Build and manage complex licensing models and optimize our license usage based on key license drivers
  • Document all software license details to include type of software, version, number of licenses authorized and in use, procurement and costing data, software end of service life date, and customer POCs
  • Interface with software vendors to facilitate account establishment, software downloads, key generation, quote requests, and software activation troubleshooting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferred in Business or Finance)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Software Asset Management, including ServiceNow SAM Professional
  • Experience with IT Asset Management and Discovery Tool using ServiceNow
  • Ability to interpret licensing terms and conditions
  • Experience supporting and servicing large vendor accounts, familiar with complexities of larger account license terms and conditions (preferably with Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, and VMware)

  • Certification: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management
  • Any additional certifications helpful: SAM, IAITAM, ITIL, ITAM, CSAM, ISO, CITAM, CHAMP, CAMP
  • Audit Experience
  • Proven researching ability
  • Consultative nature with strong written and verbal skills
  • Familiarity with Google applications (Doc, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
