About the position

The Technical Solutions Consultant in Pharmacy Automation is responsible for assisting customers in planning, configuring, and optimizing pharmacy central fill automation solutions. This role involves engaging with customers throughout the entire lifecycle, from pre-sale to post-implementation support, ensuring effective integration of automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, pharmacy automation, and technical consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during the proposal and solution design phases.
  • Assist in the development of customized automation solutions tailored to specific customer workflows.
  • Conduct on-site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the suitability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of interfaces between pharmacy automation systems and other healthcare applications.
  • Support integration of pharmacy automation systems with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of interface configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Partner with Central Fill Sales Engineers, SDS, R&D, and platform teams to ensure successful customer implementations, service, and support.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and follow-up visits to assess system performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD's auto safety standards.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the healthcare or pharmacy industry.
  • Strong technical acumen and familiarity with pharmacy central fill automation systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
