Technical Sourcing Manager, Analog/Mixed Signal IP, Silicon

About the position

The Technical Sourcing Manager for Analog/Mixed Signal IP at Google is responsible for overseeing the sourcing and management of silicon IP vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality analog mixed signal IP components. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect and optimize system-on-chip (SoC) designs, while also managing vendor relationships to enhance product differentiation and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

• Map the IP ecosystem and plan for future AMS IP product requirements.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Product Management, Design, and SOC IP Integration teams to ensure product superiority.
• Work closely with IP vendors to identify new features and negotiate schedules.
• Drive Statements of Work (SOW) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and manage change and version controls.
• Develop IP QA checklists and guidelines to ensure compliance with design for excellence (DFx) and design verification (DV) requirements.
• Manage vendor execution, delivery, schedules, and issue resolution, leading executive escalations and internal status reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with analog mixed signal IP.
• Experience in architecting SoC clocking, designing PLL, or ADC.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with or managing silicon IP vendors.
• Experience in co-architecting a SoC with AMS IP such as PLL to optimize power, performance, and area (PPA).
• Knowledge of glitch, droop detectors, PVT monitors, and sensors.
• Knowledge of PCIe, USB, or LPDDR protocols.
