Responsibilities

  • Provide direction for the technical operation of the laboratory.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and assays.
  • Validate and document operational changes using the test life cycle process (TLCP).
  • Optimize operational workflow within the laboratory.
  • Serve as an expert resource for laboratory technologists.
  • Complete additional projects or assignments as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science, medical technology, chemistry, or biological science from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of relevant laboratory experience required.
  • Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and assays.
  • ASCP or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty.
