About the position

The Technical Staff, Datacenter Architect role at Dell Technologies involves participating in the development of next-generation large-scale AI infrastructure, including accelerated compute, AI fabrics, and AI-optimized storage. This position focuses on engaging with high-profile AI customers to optimize solutions, driving innovation in datacenter architecture, and ensuring maximum performance through advanced technologies such as liquid cooling and power density management.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with high profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications.
  • Drive the architecture of end-to-end solutions from server to data center, including air and liquid cooled servers, integrated rack solutions, power distribution, and heat rejection.
  • Innovate power-centric solutions for increasingly dense IT environments.
  • Optimize cost, energy efficiency, and performance from IT to the datacenter.
  • Work closely with key external partners to create and communicate differentiated solutions.
  • Clearly communicate complex datacenter concepts to customers, colleagues, and upper management.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience and working knowledge of data center power distribution and thermal technologies from servers to the data hall.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of and relationships with key suppliers of data center power and thermal management components.
  • Ability to take a concept to customer production and understand competitive and business needs while architecting technical solutions.
  • Experience negotiating competing interests and priorities to achieve the best possible outcome for all stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel and assess customer requirements, developing blueprints based on the customer's geographical area with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Advanced degree highly preferred).
  • Customer and partner project/program leadership experience.
