About the position

As a Technical Staff, Datacenter Architect at Dell Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation large-scale AI infrastructure, including accelerated compute, AI fabrics, and AI-optimized storage. This position involves engaging with high-profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications and driving innovation at the datacenter level with advanced technologies such as liquid cooling and power density solutions. You will be responsible for the architecture of end-to-end solutions, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and energy management in increasingly dense IT environments.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with high-profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications.
  • Drive the architecture of end-to-end solutions from server to data center, including air and liquid cooled servers, integrated rack solutions, power distribution, and heat rejection.
  • Innovate power-centric solutions for increasingly dense IT environments.
  • Optimize cost, energy efficiency, and performance from IT to the datacenter.
  • Work closely with key external partners to create and communicate differentiated solutions.
  • Clearly communicate complex datacenter concepts to customers, colleagues, and upper management.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience in data center power distribution and thermal technologies.
  • Solid understanding and relationships with key suppliers of data center power and thermal management components.
  • Ability to take a concept to customer production and understand competitive and business needs while architecting technical solutions.
  • Experience negotiating competing interests and priorities to achieve the best possible outcome for all stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Advanced degree highly preferred).
  • Customer and partner project/program leadership experience.
