About the position

As a Technical Staff, Datacenter Architect at Dell Technologies, you will be part of the Engineering Technologist team, which is dedicated to shaping groundbreaking products, materials, and processes. This role involves applied research and advanced engineering, where you will assess competition, develop technology and product strategies, and generate intellectual property. Your insights will influence product architecture and definitions, and you will collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure that Dell's products lead the way in the industry. In this position, you will participate in the development of next-generation large-scale AI infrastructure, which includes accelerated compute, AI fabrics, and AI-optimized storage. You will engage with high-profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications and tune systems for maximum performance. Your responsibilities will include driving innovation at the datacenter level, particularly with liquid cooling technologies and power density. You will be responsible for developing end-to-end thermal solutions from server to data center, which encompasses air and liquid-cooled servers, integrated rack solutions, and deployment into various data center environments. Additionally, you will innovate power-saving solutions for increasingly dense IT deployments and optimize cost, energy efficiency, and performance of compute at server, rack, and row scales. Collaboration with key external partners will be essential to create and communicate differentiated solutions, and you will need to clearly communicate complex thermal system concepts to customers, colleagues, and upper management.
