About the position

Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services for American Airlines as American Eagle throughout the Midwest and East Coast, operating CRJ-200 regional jets. The Technical Stores Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and administration of aircraft parts and material inventory to ensure the highest level of operational integrity and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role operates under the general direction of the Technical Stores Operations Manager and plays a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations. The Technical Stores Manager promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment, ensuring that all operations are conducted in compliance with FAA, OSHA, and EPA regulations as well as company policies and procedures. This position requires efficient scheduling and use of assigned resources to provide maximum productivity. The manager will oversee the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution functions for aircraft parts and materials, ensuring that all parts and material storage centers are maintained properly. Additionally, the manager is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records and preparing various reports and summaries related to maintenance and engineering procedures, plans, and forecasts. Budget management is also a key responsibility of this role, as the Technical Stores Manager will administer and control assigned budgetary responsibilities and prepare monthly budget variance reports. Attendance is considered an essential responsibility, and the manager must demonstrate a high level of judgment and initiative in coordinating the implementation of departmental objectives. The ability to handle confidential information and communicate fluently in English is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares various reports and summaries relating to maintenance and engineering procedures, plans, and forecasts.
  • Administers and controls assigned budgetary responsibilities and prepares monthly budget variance reports.
  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or a Materials Management discipline, or equivalent practical career experience.
  • Three to five years warehousing and inventory control experience in a union environment.
