About the position

The Technical Support Analyst position at MARS Solutions Group involves providing comprehensive support for desktop hardware in a remote setting after initial training. The role focuses on managing desktop equipment, resolving technical issues, and ensuring efficient setup and testing of hardware for a well-respected insurance financial organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for home office desktop hardware including laptops, monitors, docking stations, and printers.
• Handle desktop equipment inventory management and recycling activities.
• Implement workflow process improvements and provide potential desk-side support within the home office.
• Conduct analysis and research to resolve diverse technical issues related to desktop hardware.
• Serve as a trusted advocate for the Computer Equipment Administration team.
• Perform basic computer setup skills including imaging, software loads, and data transfers for Windows and MAC devices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on onsite desktop support experience in a large company environment.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or significant directly-related desktop computer work experience.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow asset management is a huge plus.
• Experience setting up physical desktop workstations including monitor, dock, and printer placement.
• Experience transferring hardware inventory from stockrooms and tracking hardware assets in ServiceNow.
• Demonstrated experience using computer software packages including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Slack.
• Strong customer service and oral communication skills.
