About the position

Parker Aerospace, a leading producer in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer 1 to join our team in Akron, OH. This role is not IT-related and focuses on building positive relationships with customers by providing solutions to technical issues for in-service aircraft model programs, particularly during their entry-into-service phase. The Technical Support Engineer will perform design improvements on existing products under the guidance of more experienced engineers, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support and reliability. In this position, you will be responsible for applying standard engineering principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to solve a variety of problems. This includes utilizing the applicable component maintenance manual (CMM) as a reference for troubleshooting and design changes. You will engage in root cause corrective action investigations and develop troubleshooting tools for maintenance, playing a vital role in the ongoing customer feedback process. The assignments you undertake will be moderately complex and guided by established precedents, requiring you to match available methodologies and support functions with specific assignments. The Technical Support Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering departments, metallurgists, program managers, warranty managers, and quality assurance personnel. You will interface daily with your manager and customer support representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Your ability to organize, interpret, and report results with minimal guidance will be essential, as will your capacity to lead solutions to open-ended problems. Responsibilities

Requirements
