About the position

The Technical Support Engineer role at Oracle is designed for early career talent, focusing on delivering post-sales technical assistance to customers using Oracle products. This position emphasizes customer advocacy, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs, and aligning Oracle's resources to support successful deployments. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, managing customer expectations, and collaborating with various internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver post-sales technical assistance to customers using Oracle products.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Oracle products.
  • Address non-technical inquiries through phone and electronic communications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers as a key contact.
  • Educate customers on the problem-solving process and Oracle's diagnostic methodology.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on complex customer issues.
  • Contribute written articles to Oracle's Solution Knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent science and/or engineering field by August 2025 with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • No more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience).
  • Familiarity with Cloud computing platforms, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, SQL, XML, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, and J2EE Standards.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows, MacOS, and Network Architecture.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Containers; Kubernetes and Dockers.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Microsoft Azure, Cloud Foundry, Salesforce, etc.
  • Exposure to Big Data, Analytics, Large Language Models, Database architecture.
