About the position

The position at Regal Rexnord involves providing comprehensive customer assistance for product selection tailored to unique, special, or technical applications. In addition to customer interaction, the position requires collaboration with the sales team to translate customer specifications into product selections that align with both customer needs and Regal Rexnord's business objectives. The individual will conduct product tear-down analyses, populating data for root cause identification, corrective action forms, and failure analysis. Taking ownership of key tasks on a project-by-project basis is essential, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines to ensure project success. The role also involves resolving challenges related to interpreting drawings, design tolerances, quality, and material requirements, as well as providing product training and familiarization, including content development and delivery. The individual will work closely with manufacturing, inspection, and assembly teams to troubleshoot issues and will manage customer request queues, ensuring timely responses. Some travel is expected for training and trade show support, with a travel requirement of approximately 10-20%. The position demands a structured approach to tasks, emphasizing process-driven methodologies, effective communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. Attention to detail and time management skills are also critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer assistance for product selection for unique, special, or technical applications.
  • Offer application installation and troubleshooting support (technical and hands-on).
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Provide project coordination and communication.
  • Make judgments on the value of the information being analyzed to provide the best possible solution.

  • Take responsibility for and complete key tasks on a project-by-project basis, driving to meet deadlines.
  • Resolve challenges related to the interpretation of drawings, design tolerances, quality, and material requirements.
  • Provide product training and familiarization, including content development and delivery.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, inspection, and assembly to problem-solve issues.
  • Manage customer request queue and response time expectations.
  • Travel for training and trade show support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, a technical discipline, or equivalent years of experience, preferably in the industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, with an emphasis on understanding complex diagrams and blueprints.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Engineering BOMs and drawings preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret design prints as well as customer specifications.
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce preferred.
  • Flexibility with work hours to maintain a minimal backlog.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
