About the position

The Technical Support Engineer will provide technical and application support for software and electrical calibration products, focusing on troubleshooting, training, and collaboration with engineering teams. This role involves direct customer interaction to resolve issues and enhance product understanding through training courses.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, validate, and resolve or escalate MET/CAL and MET/TEAM calibration software and associated calibration hardware product issues primarily via email and phone support.
  • Document potential issues and collaborate with the engineering team in testing and providing regular updates to customers.
  • Facilitate software training courses at Fluke and occasionally at customer sites.
  • Update training course content based on survey responses, industry trends, and new product releases.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new training courses.

Requirements

  • B.S. in a technical field or technical school with relevant work experience.
  • Two years of previous technical training, technical support, and/or field service experience with complex software and/or hardware platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MET/CAL and MET/TEAM calibration software.
  • Knowledge of electrical calibration products, electrical metrology, procedures, and quality systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Cases.
