About the position

The Technical Support Field Service Advisor role is a full-time, permanent position focused on providing technical support and troubleshooting for customers in a fast-paced environment. The advisor will engage with vendors and customers, manage project workflows, and support service managers while ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with and communicating with a variety of vendors and customers both verbally or written
  • Being responsive to incoming phone calls
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • Supporting and managing project workflow
  • Working with customers as well as the parts and service area to resolve problems
  • Creating work orders and invoices
  • Billing and invoicing customers
  • Supporting the service managers as needed
  • Participating in service scheduling, if needed
  • Handling Return Merchandise Authorizations
  • Participating in scheduling training for service employees
  • Training others as needed

Requirements

  • Four years of technical support or field service experience with hydraulics, drives, PLCs, mechanical and electrical
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Possess the ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment
  • Four or more years of supporting customers
  • Exceptional communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
