About the position

The Technical Support Intern at Badger Meter is a SaaS Tier 1 technical support role focused on assisting with the BEACON software. This internship provides hands-on experience in troubleshooting software and hardware issues while collaborating with various departments to enhance customer experience. Interns will engage in process improvement initiatives and participate in discussions related to customer experience platforms, contributing to meaningful projects that support the company's mission of water conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and troubleshoot general BEACON account maintenance questions.
  • Document potential bugs and/or hardware issues and escalate to tier 2 support as needed.
  • Process endpoint transfer requests utilizing inventory management tools.
  • Participate in process improvement discussions to help automate and improve process efficiencies.
  • Provide insight and data during Customer Experience Platform (CXP) discussions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in IT or Computer Science.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer support or technical support roles.
  • Familiarity with SaaS applications and software troubleshooting.
