About the position

The Technical Support Specialist at O.Berk Company, LLC is responsible for providing technical support services for the company's hardware, software, and IT infrastructure. This role focuses on internal customer service for computer system users and involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, maintaining computer networks, and assisting with user profile administration. The position requires onsite presence five days a week, with potential for a hybrid or flexible schedule after training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide internal customer service for computer system users.
  • Support and install hardware, conference room media, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and applications.
  • Update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
  • Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions or escalate to the next level of support.
  • Contribute documentation to support policies, procedures, knowledge base, and training guides.
  • Utilize a ticketing system to enter, review, update, and close help desk tickets.
  • Provide support through in-person contact, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and video conferencing.
  • Assist in user profile administration including onboarding and changes throughout the user life cycle.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or A+ Certification or equivalent experience/knowledge.
  • 1-3 years of help desk/desktop support or relevant IT support experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with macOS, Windows 11, Android, and iOS operating systems.
  • Experience with VoIP phone systems.
  • Knowledge of VPN and remote access applications.
  • Understanding of Active Directory.
  • Understanding of PowerShell scripts.
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, POP, HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
