About the position

The Technical Support Technician will be responsible for providing critical IT support to business users in Portland, OR. This role involves desktop hardware configuration, software installations, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The technician will work closely with the IT team and may also engage in individual project work to drive innovation and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop hardware configuration and upgrades.
  • Monitor and resolve software installations and hardware upgrades.
  • Use ServiceNow ticketing management system to manage requests and incidents.
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems and provide solutions.
  • Install and configure standard desktop packages.
  • Liaise with third-party maintenance engineers as needed.
  • Report for emergency duties outside of normal office hours when required.
  • Undertake business trips to support other offices as necessary.
  • Engage in individual project work to promote innovation and development.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Technical expertise in Oracle.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in an IT support role with extensive customer support experience, both remote and in-person.
  • Full understanding of Windows Environment and extensive experience with MS Office Suite.
  • A+ Certification.
  • Ability to travel and pass a driving record review.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or related ticketing management system.
