About the position
The Technical Support position involves providing on-site and remote diagnosis and resolution of computer hardware and software issues. The role requires a strong understanding of network components and the ability to lead the development of processes for IT technicians. The position is critical in ensuring effective IT service delivery to clients of DTMB.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site or remote access diagnosis and resolution of computer hardware and software problems.
- Plan, design, and implement computer hardware, software, and network components.
- Lead in the development of processes and procedures for IT technicians.
- Troubleshoot Local Area Network connectivity issues through cables, switches, and hubs.
- Administer network groups, users, and rights associations.
- Monitor and maintain local server backup systems.
- Update patches and perform virus repairs.
- Seek out and attend relevant technical training.
- Attend special training sessions required by client sites.
- Carry out directives of Management to support customer service.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical support or related field.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience with network components and connectivity issues.
- Ability to develop processes and procedures for IT support.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with server backup systems.
- Knowledge of patch management and virus repair.
