About the position

The Technical Trainer at Intralox is responsible for leading the preparation and execution of internal systems training, focusing on mechanical, electrical/controls, and maintenance/troubleshooting elements. This role supports various internal training needs, including onboarding, cross-training, and continuous learning, while managing the development of blended learning courses. The trainer applies instructional design theories to enhance the learning experience and ensures the quality and consistency of course content and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and execution of internal systems training, including mechanical, electrical/controls, and maintenance/troubleshooting elements.
  • Support internal training needs, including new hire onboarding, cross training, continuous learning, and certification.
  • Manage the development of blended learning courses from project kick-off to completion and evaluation.
  • Apply instructional design theories and methods to produce and deliver high-quality training (digital, blended, and instructor-led).
  • Continuously improve the standards, processes, and deliverables to enhance the effectiveness of the learning experience.
  • Understand and assess how training plays a role in business needs identified by product/process audits, performance metrics and troubleshooting case data and account strategies.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content and delivery.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and virtual training.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to self-teach and study engineering products and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of management, production, and engineering employees.
  • Ability to work across departments to ensure effective teamwork and motivate personnel to assist in the effective and efficient execution of the training plan.
  • Possess knowledge of effective training techniques and curiosity to continuously learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-managed with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to be flexible about working time to fit business needs and customer requirements.
