About the position

The Technical Training & Technology Rotational Program Manager at Pacific Life is responsible for leading training initiatives to enhance the skills of the enterprise technology team. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to develop a technology-focused training approach, overseeing the delivery of training services, and managing the Technology Rotational Program for early career professionals. The position is pivotal in creating programs that ensure the continuous development of technical talent within the organization, contributing to a superior digital-first customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create a technology-focused training approach and select technical training vendor partners.
  • Oversee the delivery of vendor-provided training services to ensure technology objectives are met.
  • Support the technical training needs of key projects by leveraging in-house training platforms and content.
  • Partner with HR to identify, hire, and onboard associates for the Technology rotational program.
  • Coordinate the ongoing logistics of the Technology Rotational Program, including managing bi-annual training workshops and overseeing participant performance.
  • Implement continuous improvements to the program, such as rebranding and assignment solicitation processes.
  • Measure and report on program success by tracking outcomes, financial metrics, and participant feedback.
  • Work closely with HR and Technology leadership to identify technical skills, capabilities, and training needs.
  • Partner with external training providers and educational institutions as needed.
  • Oversee the budget and resources allocated to the technology training programs and the Technology rotational program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical training and program management.
  • Previous vendor management experience.
  • Experience managing early career rotational programs.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Strong understanding of technical skills and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience working with diverse and global teams.
