About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Scientific & Technical Communication, Technical Writing, or related writing or technology-oriented discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2016 or later products.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information quickly and translate it into appropriate products for the intended audience.
  • Excellent writing fundamentals, including impeccable skills in finding and fixing errors in grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

  • Current TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Point, GitLab, or similar configuration control and document management systems.
  • Familiarity with manipulating PDF files in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Familiarity with graphics-development tools, such as Photoshop, Visio, Gimp, etc.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line and environment.

Responsibilities

  • Enjoy working collaboratively with diverse teams on multiple projects of various sizes.
  • Become a key member of the Business Development (BD) Operations Center, supporting Federal Government market surveys, white papers, and proposals, from bid decision through award.
  • Pay careful attention to and implement disparate formatting/stylistic guidelines for BD deliverable documents with strict deadlines.
  • Be receptive to constructive criticism on writing, editing, and a variety of technical topics.
  • Integrate into various teams to collaborate on software and engineering development projects to produce quality project documentation that meets aggressive schedules.
  • Produce and maintain full suites of documentation products, including user guides, quick-start guides, training materials, hardware supplements, software and maintenance manuals, and test plan and procedure documentation.
  • Work on technical briefings, technical reports, manuals, and marketing materials for high-performance electronic hardware.
  • Be willing to grow into a personnel supervisory role.
