About the position

The Technical Writer position at MCSG Technologies involves providing technical writing expertise to support the Detachment 1 team at Buckley SFB. The role focuses on reviewing and ensuring the proper format, grammar, and style of various documents and briefings related to test and evaluation planning and reporting. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to assist government personnel in updating guidance for written communication.

Responsibilities

• Review higher headquarters instructions for written communication guidance and apply to documents under review.
• Assist government personnel with updating guidance for reports, briefings, instruction manuals, and template files.
• Attend program review meetings and provide inputs to document authors regarding corrections to be incorporated before further document coordination.
• Assist test teams with interpreting document and briefing guidance to improve writing and coordination timelines.
• Provide continuity of knowledge to facilitate document and briefing creation and coordination for test and evaluation planning and reporting products.

Requirements

• Top Secret Clearance
• 11+ years of document review experience
• Senior level technical writing experience
• Strong grammar skills
• Leadership and communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a technical writer with responsibility for identifying and correcting format, grammar, style
• Thorough knowledge of DOD and USAF written communication products and styles
