About the position

The Technical Writer will support a manufacturing facility in Pinellas Park, FL, for a 6-month contract role. The primary focus is to standardize and document manufacturing and system processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and clarity in critical documentation to facilitate smooth operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and accurately document manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement new templates to standardize and improve work documentation.
  • Work independently to write, proofread, and edit technical documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure completeness of documentation.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations for improvements to existing documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience in technical writing or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal skills - able to interact effectively with team members across different functions.
