About the position

The Technical Writer/Designer for Product Safety and Compliance at Bosch Group is responsible for creating and maintaining operating manuals and documentation related to product safety. This hybrid role requires collaboration with product safety engineers and managers to ensure accurate and effective communication of product features and safety protocols. The position emphasizes ownership of technical issues and adherence to company standards, while also providing opportunities for professional growth within a leading global technology and services supplier.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain operating instructional manuals and other documentation.
• Collaborate with product safety engineers, product owners, and managers.
• Design, create, and revise safety warnings and setup instructions for external use.
• Research and learn about products, features, processes, and industry concepts using various resources.
• Take ownership of issue analysis and resolution efforts, committing to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in product requirement review meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Guide deliverables through content reviews, revisions, and approvals.
• Adhere to company standards, including product safety protocols and manual creation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or a related writing-intensive program.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical writing experience in a consumer goods environment, preferably in the power tools industry.
• Solid technical writing skills, including the ability to research and document functionality and processes.
• Knowledge of product safety-related technical writing.
• Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills, along with strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interpret product specifications and applications into required safety text.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to uncover errors in specifications.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
