About the position

ROC Implementation and Management Inc. (ROCIMG) is seeking Technical Writers at Levels I, II, and III to join our dynamic team in Gaithersburg, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various engagements by interviewing stakeholders to gather essential information. You will develop, edit, and revise technical documentation related to IT systems, ensuring that all materials are clear, concise, and accurate. Your ability to drive the research and fact-gathering process will be vital in analyzing and synthesizing findings to create high-quality deliverables for our clients. Additionally, you will contribute to ROCIMG's internal operations, including marketing, business development, and other activities aimed at advancing the firm’s objectives. Responsibilities

  • Interview stakeholders to gather information for technical documentation.
  • Develop, edit, and revise technical documentation for IT systems.
  • Drive the research and fact-gathering process to support documentation efforts.
  • Analyze and synthesize findings to create deliverables for clients.
  • Support internal operations including marketing and business development activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical writing and editing, preferably in a federal or consulting environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and technical documentation standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data analytics and technology-related documentation.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
