Responsibilities

  • Control and maintain the life cycle management of assigned technical publications.
  • Utilize IT tools such as SGML, XML, PDF, and word processing to edit and manage electronic documents.
  • Conduct verifications on equipment using target audience personnel.
  • Review technical manual submissions for completeness and accuracy before final acceptance from contractors.
  • Manage publications to ensure compliance with MIL-STD and initiate publication changes or revisions.

Requirements

  • Three years of progressively responsible experience, including one year equivalent to GS-4 level in interpreting publication regulatory guidance, using automated systems for technical writing, and reviewing/editing equipment publications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate degree with at least 15 semester hours in relevant scientific, technical, or social science fields.
  • Experience can include paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work.
