About the position

The Technical Writer/Editor position at Lukos involves providing contractor support services for training, technical assistance, compliance, and programmatic support specifically for the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and the Juvenile Family Management Division (JFMD). The role is critical in developing tools and resources that support various projects, ensuring that documentation is accurate and effective. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing and editing, particularly at the executive level, and will be responsible for creating a range of documents including briefings, correspondence, doctrinal manuals, and publications. In this role, the Technical Writer/Editor will conduct thorough research to inform documentation and process improvements. This includes performing needs analysis to identify gaps and requirements in existing documentation and processes. The candidate will also be expected to review current processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency. A key aspect of the job will be the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented changes and initiatives. Additionally, the Technical Writer/Editor will draft reports and create presentations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Conducting site visits to gather information and ensure accurate documentation will also be part of the responsibilities. This position is based in Tampa, FL, but may involve travel to various locations across the U.S. as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
